Metal Liquidity Sovereign Protocol

Architecture not frozen

The engine is not allowed to mint.

Three later papers pull against the Sovereign Brief. The invariants say MLSP does not mint. The 5 October fundraising note says coins are not inventory. The 12 October sheet says the executable target is not frozen. This page keeps the disagreement visible.

Standing rule · 12 Oct

No new protocol requirements until chain, token model, and timelock rules are one choice.

Invariants

Does not mint

Amount is booked against an attested reserve. A synthetic unit is out of scope for v1.0 on purpose.

5 Oct note

Coins are not the raise

Investors fund the company. Users receive coins only after reserves are verified. Circulating supply is zero until then.

Sovereign Brief

A different object

Five physical tiers, diamond and rhodium included, written as instruments a holder carries. It conflicts with the no-mint ledger and with the ban on selling unbacked coins.

Rules that halt the rail

  • Atomic settlement

One instruction is fully settled or not applied. Two ledger lines, or zero. A crash rolls back.

  • No synthetic balances

Every unit on the book is a unit already held at a reserve holder. The protocol does not mint.

  • Book equals reserve

For each asset, the sum of balances equals the last valid attestation. A break is a P1 halt.

  • No unbacked entry

A posting that would push the book past the attestation is rejected, not reconciled later.

  • No silent corrections

Reversals are new facts. Updates to a settled row are lies.

  • No stranger on the rail

Only an authorized, active participant posts. There is no repair user that writes the store directly.

Four knobs, not one

Amount tolerance is the invariant. Freshness is a clock. Scale is the currency’s tick. Halt policy is already written. Do not store them as one field called tolerance.

What the raise actually is

  1. 01

    Company and IP

Equity, a SAFE, or a conventional private placement. Not a claim on metal.

  2. 02

    Bounded pilot

Legal work, audit, custody, assay, redemption tests. Supply follows deposited metal.

  3. 03

    Reserve-backed issuance

Metal in, assay, attestation, one-use certificate burned, coins minted, redemption open.

  4. 04

    Sovereign pathway

A controlled settlement pilot with the CMA and the National Bank of Rwanda. Not a public coin sale.

Use of proceeds in the regulatory draft puts 60% toward reserve capitalization, and only after a real offering document exists. That draft is for counsel. It is not an offer.

Ceiling, not circulation

v1.4 authorizes at most 106,000,000 coins. Full-capacity metal mass in that note is 220 million ounces. None of it is represented as minted.

Tier 1

1,000,000

Ceiling, not a mint run

Tier 2

5,000,000

Ceiling, not a mint run

Tier 3

100,000,000

Ceiling, not a mint run

Circulating supply = verified coins minted − coins burned − coins redeemed.

Until a coin is minted against verified reserves, that number is zero.

Name collision, left visible

The 2 October chain package expands MLSP as “Multi-Lateral Settlement Platform.” The 12 October sheet says MLSP means only Metal Liquidity Sovereign Protocol, and that the lithography correction map is a different layer. The chain page keeps the package. It does not rename it into the metal protocol.

The regulatory draft also prefers an EVM security-token shape. The June scaffold people can still inspect was Solana. No passing test was accessible on 12 October. Anchor is described, not verified.
